Living at the top of a tree has always fascinated Man. If children have always looked for this element of adventure, today it's the adults who feel the need to relive their childhood memories perched up high at the heart of the forest.
Castles in the trees surrounded by turrets, offer a step back in time through the history of the Aquitaine region. Le château "Gascogne" provides a flash back to the historic past of this region which was conquered by the Vascons who came from the Iberian peninsula and gave their name to the region.
Gascony has the reputation of being home to stubborn and independent people. After the Treaty of Paris in 1259, the Duke of Aquitaine took the name of Duke of Guyenne, a term alluding to all the French possessions of the King of England. The "Guyenne" castle is also a reminder of this ancient region, whose name comes from an evolution of the word Aquitaine in the 12th and 13th centuries, and evokes its many castles. The Gascogne and Guyenne castles on the EcÔtelia estate invite you to rediscover a "high" life.
