The tipi is the Indians' original nomadic accommodation. It is a fascinating tent and the most popular. Ingeniously designed, it is possible to lit a fire inside. A tipi is conic and made from long wooden stick stuck together like a tripod, there is an inside and an outside canvas. In the Lakota language, Tipi means home. Inside, a tipi is usually simple but comfortable.
