Kota means "hunter shelter" in Lapland. This hexagon shaped cottage from Finland is made out of raw wood and half wooden logs. It is the traditional shelter for fishermen and hunters in Lapland. It is also used by Saamis, an indigenous population from the North of Scandinavia and Russia to smoke meat or fish.

We had a pleasant time in the Lapland chalet, a quiet place cradled by Mr. Toad sparingly located in the pond right next to it, a small problem for the mattress which was not comfortable enough for our taste. Cordially
