At 900 meters above sea level, this eco-lodge nestled in the heart of nature offers a timeless escape, surrounded by forests, summer pastures, and marked trails. Located near Lake Castet, the hiking trails of the Ossau Valley, and at the gateway to the Pyrenees National Park, it’s the perfect base for exploring the region.
Here, days begin with birdsong, follow the rhythm of the mountains, and end under an exceptionally clear starry sky. Roe deer, red kites, or griffon vultures may cross your path—just like peaceful naps in the sun or outdoor Nordic baths facing the peaks.
On site, enjoy homemade meals prepared with local ingredients, an outdoor Nordic bath, and relaxing massages to fully recharge. A true invitation to slow down, reconnect with nature… and with yourself.
Driven by a deep need to reconnect with nature, we, Marie and Rémy, chose to settle in a former sheepfold in the summer pastures, far from the hustle and bustle of modern life. This project is above all a life project – a quest for self-sufficiency and harmony with our environment. Here, we live in energy autonomy, surrounded by our animals, and we cultivate a permaculture vegetable garden. We enjoy cooking local flavours, enriched by our travel experiences. With this same spirit of sharing and reconnection, we restored our shepherd’s hut – our cabanot, as it’s called in Béarn – through self-building and eco-construction, so we could welcome you there. A simple, inspiring place, showing that another way of life is possible, in symbiosis with the living world.Marie also offers well-being sessions here, to gently extend the experience.
